Bush Fire Information
The Commissioner of Emergency Services declares areas that are Bushfire Prone throughout Western Australia. You can check if your property is designated as bushfire prone on the map available from: https://www.dfes.wa.gov.au/regulationandcompliance/bushfireproneareas/Pages/default.aspx)
If development is proposed in a bushfire prone area then a Bushfire Management Plan and / or Bushfire Attack Level assessment by a suitably accredited fire consultant may be required to be submitted as part of any planning application and / or building permit application.
For planning applications, the bushfire requirements are set out under the Western Australian Planning Commission State Planning Policy 3.7 and associated guidelines.
